Why Should You Invest in Clipex Fencing?

Why Should You Invest in Clipex Fencing?

Clipex has created an exceptional reputation for itself over the years as one of the market leaders within the fencing industry. Their fence posts are built to last with a 30-year guarantee, as they are made using lightweight, high tensile strength making them easier to transport and more manageable to handle. Today we’re going to be exploring the top ten reasons why you should make the switch to Clipex Posts.

1.        Lasts Longer

Clipex Posts are built to last with a 30-year guarantee. Giving you peace of mind. Compare that to timber posts and you could be saving over 50% during the lifetime of your fence. The wires are also not physically attached creating a true suspension fence.

2.        Easier

The whole Clipex system is simple to use. There is no tying off and no struggling with wire as it simply clips in. What’s even better, is there are no fiddly extra parts to buy, carry or lose.

3.        Labour

The high tensile strength makes it a more manageable product to handle and erect. All wire can be easily unclipped allowing easy post and wire replacement. Wires can simply be re-joined if broken without the need to cut ties or unclip.

4.        Stronger

Clipex posts use a high tensile design, with a unique patented process, and are combined with our patented strengthening plate. They use a stronger strength-to-weight design with min 450-grade steel. Each post also has an automated weld at the top to guarantee that the post won’t split when being driven into rocky ground.

5.        Lighter

Expect fewer requirements for transport payloads, resulting in less fuel usage. Health and safety concerns are also significantly reduced due to the lightweight nature and the ease with which it can be transported to the site.

6.        Faster

Time is the most valuable resource we have and Clipex posts are guaranteed to give you more of it. Clipex is 12 times faster connecting wires to posts than traditional tying off. There is less time building the fence which means you have more time to do other things.

7.        Save Money

With Clipex there’s no need for heavy machinery or operators. More importantly, there is no need to reinstate your fence a few years later. We are confident you will save more than 50% on your current labour and machinery costs, whilst providing a superior, low-maintenance fence.

8.        Patented

Clipex uses patented designs to ensure you are getting the latest technology. We specialise in bringing to market the latest solutions fencing has to offer.

9.        Recyclable

Eventually, your fences will need to be replaced or pulled down. With Clipex, that time is further away, and their fencing solutions allow easier, more complete removal and re-use ability than any other system. This allows you to re-purpose your fence posts for a longer lifespan. The long-term sustainability, including being able to be recycled at the end of its life, is a key factor for those looking to source responsibly.

10.  Security

Clipex posts have an additional backing plate at ground level which acts as an anti-lift plate, deterring opportunistic thieves. Once the wire is clipped in place it is very difficult to release the tensioned fence, which also acts as an obstacle. Once installed it performs for a very long time, ensuring security and peace of mind.

Clipex Fencing FAQs

Still not convinced? We answer the most common Clipex Fencing Questions below…

What space should I leave between each post?

The spacing between the posts will vary depending on the type of fence you are constructing, or the ground conditions you are fencing. Generally whatever spacings you have used in the past with timber posts will be suitable for Clipex.

Are the posts set in concrete?

No. In normal conditions, there is no requirement to set Clipex posts in concrete. They are driven into the ground like your traditional wooden posts.

How do you drive the post?

Clipex posts can be driven similarly to timber posts. In smaller quantities you can manually drive with a sledge, there is a protective drive tube which can be purchased off Clipex. In larger quantities, you can use a post-knocker or machine. (*Clipex posts have the added advantage of being able to be driven with a petrol-powered post driver. These can be hired or purchased from Thorburn Group).

Can the posts take barbed wire?

Yes, the Clips in the Clipex posts can receive barbed wire.

How do you insulate electric fencing?

There are special Clipex insulators which clip into the posts to allow the wire to be electrified.

How do I pay for my order?

We accept all forms of payment. You can pay by card or cash in person, by bank transfer or make a payment over the phone by credit or debit card in advance of collection or delivery.

What do you use as strainers?

There are many variations of strainers available depending on the type of fence and of course ground conditions. Our strainer options are also constructed on galvanised steel for strength and longevity.

Is there a special wire for your posts?

Clipex manufactures netting but also uses common brands to suit some posts. Please contact our team for expert advice on the best Clipex product for your application.

What length are your posts?

We stock a full range of posts from 1.5m length to 3.0m length for all your fencing needs.

Where are you based?

Our head office and warehouse are based in Duns in the Scottish Borders. You can find us in Duns Industrial Estate, TD11 3HS, head to our website for the full address and directions. Or if you are using What 3 Words, it is flotation.fuel.callers.

How long will the posts last?

The posts are high-tensile galvanised steel and have a 30-year guarantee.

My wire is good, but my timber posts are starting to fail, do you have a post for me?

Yes, we have a post to suit the most common wires on the market.

Do you deliver?

Yes. We use The Pallet Network and offer a delivery service nationwide.

I have a netting that is not mentioned on your website, will it fit your posts?

It is practically possible to accommodate all netting on Clipex posts. Where the horizontal wires of the netting do not match up with the clips on the posts, the solution is to line wire the fence with 2.5mm HT wire and attach the netting to the line wires, similar to how you would construct a chain-link fence. Your local contractor should be able to offer you some advice on this.

Are you grant approved?

Yes. Clipex posts are grant-approved both in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. For the Department of Agriculture under TAMS and GLAS, for DAERA under bespoke fencing (*Permission must be sought from DAERA before fencing).
