Building Certifications

Our Design and Technical staff are trained to meet Construction Design & Management (CDM) regulations and are also NEBOSH trained.

All our buildings are designed and manufactured to comply to British Standard EN1090 and are UK CA marked.

How much does it cost to build a farm building?

There are a number of different factors that will affect the price of a building, the first being the type of building you have chosen. A grain store will be considerably more expensive than a straw shed, due to the size difference and the infrastructure included. A straw shed is a pretty simple design featuring posts and a roof, whereas a grain store is much more technical.

Another factor that will impact the price is the features you choose to kit out your shed, doors, insulation and internals will all impact the cost. However, putting consideration into the design aspects will ensure your building is fit for purpose and will last longer, giving you more for your money.

What is considered an agricultural building?

An agricultural building is a term used to refer to any building which can be found on agricultural property, with the exception of domestic buildings. Therefore, any non-domestic building on farmland, regardless of its use, can be considered an agricultural building.

What buildings does a farm need?

The buildings a farm needs really depends on the type of farm it is. For example, an arable farm will need a secure grain store to house their crop during harvest. The size of building required will depend on the capacity of the farm, and the amount of crop they are estimated to produce each year. Building requirements are totally unique to each farmer.
